Diagnostic potential of endosonography in primary and secondary esophageal tumors: retrospective study

Aim. To determine the diagnostic value of endosonography in primary and secondary esophageal tumors.
 Materials methods. Between 2018 2022, 118 patients with changes were managed at Blokhin National Medical Research Center for Oncology. Primary imply invasion esophagus directly by a tumor, mean wall tumor from outside, transition stomach to esophagus.
 Results. All had esophagogastroduodenoscopy combined endoscopic ultrasound performed. Besides estimating depth possible involvement other structures distance up 5 cm esophagus, proximal margin was examined. According examination, difference not more than 1.0 cm. The results may be due submucosal nature growth.
 Conclusion. Endoscopic examination is most important method tumors evaluate degree into wall, which an essential factor treatment choice.
